Bombo - Stefano Giovannoni

Bombo, recipient of numerous design awards and now ubiquitous throughout the world. In 1996 Stefano Giovannoni launched the Bombo Stool. Initially, there was a pause, and then the earth shook. Since that time, no other contemporary stool design has come close to having the reverence and success of this group. It has altered the fundamental concept of what a stools is, and has led to more 'Chinese Copies' than any other chair on the market today. Now an icon, it is part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris.
